Lantern adds a fast product search box to your site. Visitors type, and matching products appear straight away in a dropdown beneath the search field, with no extra pages to click through and no popup to dismiss. The difference is what happens when your catalogue changes. Lantern keeps no copy of your products, so there is no index to rebuild and nothing to fall out of date. Add a product, rename one, change a price, and your very next search reflects it. You never have to re-index, and you never have to ask support why a new product isn't showing up. Shoppers rarely type things exactly right, so near-misses work too. A search for "jaket" still finds your jackets.
